This Slip of A Girl

This Slip of A Girl

This slip of a girl
She offers her mind and soul to the world
Her body bent by the weight of her love
Comfort and warmth in abundance
But still
I taste her salt on my lips
I taste her salt in the wind
I taste her salt in her words
I taste her salt in her every touch
Behind the wet lashes
The shadowy Rembrandt of hurt
In a vortex piercing her heart
Bruising her in the droning
Sonorous sound of her laughter
But still
I taste her salt in her every moves
I taste her salt in her every smile
I taste her salt in her kisses
I taste her salt in her embrace
Salty love
Soaked with unseen tears
And still
She stood there smiling
Holding out her arms full of empathy
With her bleeding heart tucked
Somewhere within her stalwart stance
