I Return

I Return

That sunset
When the muezzin
In tear-stricken voice
Called for me
To return to the path
The light sprung forth
Into my heart
Stabbed my frozen heart
It bled tears
Yet cooling the flamed flesh
Like mountain spring
That sunset
As I splashed water onto my face
As I prepared to meet Him
That sunset
I returned from astray
